BACKGROUND
When SquareStack wanted to build a custom dashboard for SMB (Small-to-Medium Sized Business) owners, they came to us here at Psycray. We helped them bring their idea to life and proposed enhancements such as seamless AI integrations that work in harmony with popular APIs, single sign-on, and more. These features combined to create a powerful platform that SMBs found immense value in. Our collaboration focused on custom development of the entire SquareStack dashboard and additional features.
SYNOPSIS
We at Psycray developed the entire SquareStack dashboard from scratch, allowing SMB owners and channel partners to effectively manage their business data. To ensure our development aligned with the actual needs of customers, we performed focus groups consisting of SMB owners from various industries. We integrated APIs from various popular SaaS apps into the SquareStack platform, providing a standardized data format that could be used to integrate with any app. This made it easier for SquareStack to add new integrations and for users to connect their favorite apps to the dashboard. We also focused on providing a simple, intuitive interface that would allow users to easily connect their apps and view their KPIs.
The collaboration resulted in the successful custom development of the SquareStack platform, including features like the App$ Tracker and KPI Dashboard, helping SMB owners save time and make better-informed decisions by providing a simple, easy-to-use tool to manage their business data.
OBJECTIVES
The main objectives of the project were:
- To create a platform that would allow SMB owners and channel partners to easily manage their business data in one place.
- To make the platform user-friendly so that even non-technical users could use it.
- To provide valuable insights and analytics for SMB owners and channel partners to make informed decisions about their business.
FEATURES
SquareStack’s platform includes the following features, developed by Psycray:
- App Library: The app library features reviews pulled from SquareStack’s partnership with G2.com. This provides users with valuable information about each app and helps them make informed decisions about which apps to use for their business.
- Single Sign-On (SSO): The SSO feature allows users to easily sign in to hundreds of apps with just one secure login, streamlining the login process and enhancing security across applications.
- KPI Dashboard: The KPI Dashboard is populated with data from numerous third-party APIs, including Google Analytics, ToDoist, Twitter, Plaid, SurveyMonkey, MailChimp, and Asana. Users can view hundreds of custom reports and charts, tracking all their important KPIs in one place.
- App$ Tracker Dashboard: The App$ Tracker dashboard is enhanced with a custom internal API, allowing users to integrate App$ Tracker within their own platforms. This feature, populated with data from SquareStack’s partnership with Plaid, allows SMB owners to monitor their expenses and specifically view recurring subscriptions and fees.
- AI Chatbot: The newest addition to the platform, the AI Chatbot, integrates with the APIs users connect to. This feature allows users to chat with all the data in their SaaS applications, generating customized reports or getting quick analysis of reports simply by chatting with the AI.
SOLUTIONS
To address the challenge of integrating with multiple third-party SaaS apps, Psycray developed a custom API integration solution for the SquareStack platform. This provided a standardized data format that could be used to integrate with any app, regardless of its data structure. The third-party APIs included those from Google Analytics, ToDoist, Twitter, Plaid, SurveyMonkey, MailChimp, and Asana. This made it easier for SquareStack to add new integrations and for users to connect their favorite apps to the dashboard.
To make the platform user-friendly, Psycray focused on providing a simple, intuitive interface that would allow users to easily connect their apps and view their KPIs. The platform was designed to be customizable, so users could select the specific KPIs they wanted to see and rearrange them in a way that made sense for their business.
OUTCOMES
The collaboration between SquareStack and Psycray resulted in the successful development of the SquareStack platform, including the App$ Tracker. The customizable interface and easy-to-use design have made it popular with non-technical users, and the integration with popular SaaS apps has made it easy for users to connect all their apps and track all their KPIs in one place.
Overall, the partnership between SquareStack and Psycray has helped SMB owners save time and make better-informed decisions by providing a simple, easy-to-use tool to manage their business data.
